Post Nutrients used to reduce bloom time to 6 weeks
on: January 16, 2012, 21:16

I have been growing for a few years now, spent time in Cali being educated. There are so many nutrient lines out there for sale, promising to do many things.

My question to master growers is this: when growing indoors and using nutrients to bloom in six weeks regardless of the strain - how does the reduced time blooming compare to a normal flowering cycles yield. Is the cost of the nutrients comparable to the greater yield from a normal cycle? Which nutrients actually perform as stated?

There are no nutrients that are specific to shortening the flowering period that I know about. The strain will determine the flowering period.
Indicas normally have a short period whereas Sativas have longer flowering period.

There are supplements to increase yield and enhance ripening that work well that most growers use. The yield etc, they produce, are really not that significant as compared to having absolute optimal growing conditions. Using them dose help and every little bit dose count in the final tally.

I would be weary of companies claiming a product that shortens the flowering period. Fertilizer companies are hyping up their product claims while gouging your pockets.

The best way to grow by far is organics but, as long as one maintains optimal growing condition, proper NPK and micro nutrients will have the best grow results.

100% accurate Satrider, genetics trump products when it comes to everything look, taste, smell, yield, plant size/structure, potency.

Dido that Satrider...the organic taste is far superior than any other. The genetics that is being put out today by most companies is poor, in my opinion. They are in a hurry to get out a "new" strain and put it on the market; instead of back crossing like they should to maintain optimal stability in the plant. just my 2 pence...

DO NOT RUSH MOTHER NATURE, 6 week flower cycles are usually Auto-Flowerin strains. 8 week flower cycles is what mother nature intended and provides premium results. If you are on a efficiency cycle trying to pump out harvests I recommend using ruderalis strains- Visit http://www.CaregiverCircleAZ.com for more details!
